Redwood and Thunderbird Tail Feather Wand

I'm a pretty big fan of the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling, and I was inspired by her series to sculpt and texture my own wand. On the webpage Pottermore, I took the test to see what my wand would be, and it told me that my wand is made from Ebony wood with a dragon heartstring core. Now I plan on sculpting that wand later, but I wanted my wand to be something that originates from the U.S. In America, Redwood sequoia wood and Thunderbird feathers are both rare, but often used by American wizards.
